- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with network infrastructure, or deployment.
- 6 years of experience planning and coordinating with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications working environment.
- Experience managing large-scale capacity augmentation and migration projects in computer networking environments.
- Experience in network system design, architecture, technology, infrastructure, and utilizing design tools.
- Experience designing and developing network automation systems. Like network troubleshooting, cabling artifacts, device configuration, network management etc.
- Experience in workflow automation tooling and improvements. Knowledge of rack and stack, device commissioning, and quality acceptance control.
- Experience of coding in one of the following programming languages including but not limited to: Go, Python, C, or Java
- Collaborate across levels/functions, driving decisions. Fluent in English, travel up to 25% within metro area.
- Work cross-functionally with Design, Deployment, Peering, and Planning teams to ensure end-to-end Google network connectivity.
- Translate network solutions into standard Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed design packages, provide technical support and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Develop stateless work packages with Automation and BusOps to enable efficient, low-oversight execution by third parties.
- Proactively identify and resolve network installation issues while managing capacity workflows for edge devices.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation in network builds, augments, and repairs through scripting, software development, data analysis, and collaboration.
