Their team culture values technical expertise, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering projects that exceed expectations.About the PositionThe HVAC Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the complete engineering and design of HVAC, steam, and industrial process piping systems. This role involves hands-on technical work, project coordination, and field integration support to ensure system performance and installation quality.You will lead detailed system design efforts including load calculations, equipment selection, duct and piping layout and sizing, control sequences, and technical specifications. Your work will directly impact project bidding, permitting, construction execution, and commissioning. This is a high-visibility role that collaborates with project managers, estimators, and field operations to bring complex mechanical systems to life.Key Responsibilities:Design HVAC, steam, and process piping systems, including calculations and system layoutsSelect appropriate equipment and size ductwork and piping systemsDevelop control sequences and technical specifications for system operationSupport estimating teams with bid packages and design informationPrepare documents for permitting and regulatory submissionProvide engineering oversight during installation, commissioning, and system start-upCoordinate closely with project management and field personnel to ensure design intent is metRequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldProfessional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not requiredMinimum 7+ years of experience in HVAC and mechanical system design (industrial or commercial experience preferred)Strong proficiency in HVAC load calculations, equipment selection, and system design softwareSolid understanding of building codes, ASHRAE standards, and permitting requirementsExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teamsExperience in field commissioning or construction support is a plusBenefitsCompetitive salary: $135,000–$145,000Annual performance-based bonusesComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidays
