The main function of a Reliability Engineer is to facilitate the design and on-going modifications of various product reliability assignments. A typical reliability engineer is responsible for leading design failure models and analyses.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Current Product: Warranty and Customer data analysis; Part reviews for issue identification and definition.
- Work with DREs, Suppliers, Plants as necessary to identify and track issue status to closure.
- Data analysis and presentation skills .required.
- Launch/Future: Identify opportunities for issue prevention and launch rapid containment/resolution
- Perform current product assessments (warranty, field reliability, test data, etc.).
- Provide support in the reliability areas of the engineering quality plan and QRD Worksheet activities.
- Lead DFMEA and Data Acquisition and Monitoring Equipment (DAME) planning activities.
- Preventing and containing and fixing issues
- Reviewing customer issue data
- Understanding what is being described and working with the product engineers on why this issue is happening
- Working with part returns
- Bringing in vehicle to get repaired
- What are next steps on how to resolve the issue
- Reporting out issues to the internal product engineering to help get the issue defined
- Working with engineering on how to prevent issues
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Being able to multi-task and juggling issues
- Consume info and organize in a way on how to act on it
- Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience presenting information
- Worked with DFMEA's
- Exterior or interior experience
- Plastic modeling and fitted parts
- Current product quality or analysis
