Position Overview:BayCare Medical Group, the leading physician-led medical group in the Tampa Bay area, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our Neurosurgery team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a rapidly growing neurosurgery practice serving both pediatric and adult patients across the greater Tampa Bay region. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, adaptable, and compassionate with a desire to grow within a high-volume, high-acuity specialty.Key responsibilities:Dynamic role with a strong emphasis on inpatient care.Work closely with excellent physician mentors during daily inpatient rounding and assisting in the operating room, gaining valuable hands-on experience.Evaluating and managing patients in an outpatient clinic setting, including pre-operative and post-operative care.Rotate call weekends with five other APPs, allowing for a flexible schedule.Functioning as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality neurosurgical care. Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Neurosurgery required.
  • Clinical rotation in neurosurgery or RN experience in a neurosurgical setting is a plus.
  • Passion for learning and strong interest in working in neurosurgery.
  • Surgical First Assist or RNFA certification is preferred.
  • Board certified and ability to obtain a Florida license.
  • Must obtain and maintain hospital medical staff privileges.
