Ensure the quality and timeliness of the work product meets customer expectations Take action to correct any deficiency in service.Evaluate project/process to determine current performance status. Make/recommend improvements to optimize delivery or improve results. Notify stakeholders of any changes to the project/process. Ensure project/process is consistent, predictable and repeatable.Provide materials and related technical support to customers as requested. Provide support in time to meet the customer's needs. Provide guidance and training to customers.Review Quality Control plans, Construction plans, specifications, procedures and any other documents necessary to execute the Department's mission. Provide clear comments as requested in time to be useful to the customer. Offer solutions when objecting to the approach that is proposed.The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:
  • Knowledge of the concepts, terminology, principles and analytical techniques of Materials - Contracts.
  • Knowledge of engineering design, construction, production and/or operations.
Skills in:
  • Using engineering tools, equipment and/or instruments.
Ability to:
  • Operate a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret engineering data.
  • Ability to solve problems relating to engineering.
  • Ability to apply engineering quantitative techniques.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to communicate engineering information effectively.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
Licensure/Registration/Certification Requirements:Other Job-Related Requirements:
  • Must pass or have passed Construction Math and Contract Plans Reading Self Study examinations.
  • This position must respond before, during, and following emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience operating a personal computer for word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database applications.
  • Prior experience with contracts.
