- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair all conveyor, sortation and related material handling equipment
- Ensure proper, safe and efficient mechanical/electrical operations within the Distribution Center
- Install new or modify existing equipment or systems, and as necessary designs, fabricates and installs specialized equipment
- Repair and maintain machinery, mechanical and/or electrical equipment to include motors, pumps, conveyers, hydraulics, electro-mechanical control systems, power equipment, safety devices, or other specialized equipment
- Examine parts and equipment to diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs or installations in accordance with established safety procedures
- Inspect completed repairs or installations
- Recommend and implement improvements to equipment, operations and procedures
- May contact vendors for service or parts
- Assist or guide other maintenance associates in preventative maintenance of equipment and/or safety procedures
- Ability to lift and maneuver maintenance materials up to 50-60lbs on a frequent basis
- High School diploma or equivalent plus vocational training in a related technical field
- State Licensure or proven knowledge and experience in one or more areas (Electrical, Welding, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.
- Two to three years of experience in industrial maintenance field with demonstrated preventative maintenance experience in material handling systems
- Proven proficiency in one or more of the following areas; electrical/electronics, welding/fabrication, HVAC/refrigeration, plumbing, electrohydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems
- Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs
