Need onsite mandatory in Columbus OH 5 days / weekThis role involves designing and maintaining the architecture for the bank's ATM and branch systems, with a focus on the Argo/Teller programs. This includes ensuring scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices, as well as supporting the transition to the cloud. The role also requires expertise in areas like consumer/retail and commercial/business banking, along with experience in agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.Job Profile Summary
The Application Architect provides the technical vision and direction within an application domain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the application architecture and application-level roadmap.
- Design, document, develop and govern frameworks/platforms for consumption by the larger technical delivery organization.
- Be accountable for the creation and evolution of the overall application architecture strategy, its alignment with the Target State Enterprise Architecture and its usage patterns within the development community.
- Communicate and govern use of architectural trends and best practice within the application domain.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate standards around design leadership, documentation, and stakeholder communication in line with HNB's federated architect program.
- Conduct product/solution evaluations for architectural domain.
- Thoroughly understand the application flows and processes to assist the Sr SDM
- Mentor technical delivery staff.
- Comfortable with leading individuals and resolving conflicts
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Applies critical thought during collaborations while reviewing documents
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience
- Able to communicate up, down and laterally between business and IT
- Ability to drive and adhere to strict documentation standards
- Ability to mediate between parties and navigate through high stress situations
- Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize them
- Willingness and drive to learn and understand detailed software solutions
- High level of professionalism and confidence with the ability to build credibility with leadership, team members, and business partners and establish effective working relationships
- Ability to problem-solve, plan, scope, and provide estimates for work effort, producing quality deliverables on time and on budget
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels, and explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to multiple layers of peers and leadership
- Work effectively in teams as well as independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines
- Knowledge of Archimate language to document architectural diagrams in Archi
- Experience working in a consumer-centric company and with teams of technical professionals in a cross-functional environment

- Hands on experience in Agile Architecture delivery practices, tools, and execution
