You might start your morning reviewing the latest regulatory updates from OSHA or EPA, then prepare a briefing to help ag retailers understand what's changing and how it affects them. Midday, you could be leading a virtual roundtable with EHS leaders across the country, offering insight and gathering feedback on emerging safety challenges. In the afternoon, you might collaborate with internal teams to shape new training tools or contribute to the development of short-form safety content for social platforms. Throughout the day, you're the connector bringing policy, practice, and people together to protect the future of agriculture.Asmark was founded by ag retailers who saw a better way to manage safety and compliance-and built the tools they wished existed. We're looking for a Director of EHS & Industry Relations who shares this commitment and is ready to help lead the way.If you thrive at the intersection of strategy, policy, and practical application-and you're driven to protect people, the environment, and the future of agriculture-this role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact.As Director of EHS Strategy & Industry Relations, you'll help shape how safety and compliance are understood, communicated, and implemented throughout the agricultural retail sector. You will work across national platforms and with local leaders to influence best practices and ensure that the evolving needs of the industry are met with clarity, insight, and integrity.What Success Looks Like
As part of a mission-driven, nonprofit organization deeply embedded in the ag retail landscape, your work will influence how thousands of agricultural businesses and professionals stay safe and compliant. Within your first 90 days, you'll build relationships with key industry stakeholders, begin contributing to national safety conversations, and help shape a new EHS resource in development. By six months, you'll be leading forums, advising on regulatory changes, and serving as a trusted voice in shaping how compliance is understood and applied across the industry. In this high-impact role, you will:
  • Lead the Conversation
  • Represent the Asmark Institute as a thought leader and trusted resource within the agricultural retail industry as a speaker, panelist, and go-to resource.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and EHS professionals across the nation
  • Drive Innovation
  • Collaborate with our internal teams to advance the development of tools, training, and compliance resources that ag retailers use every day.
  • Provide strategic guidance on regulatory content and contribute to the design of real-world safety tools that support industry needs.
  • Support EHS Leaders
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and sounding board to safety and compliance leaders across the country.
  • Host and facilitate roundtables, forums, and peer networks that foster ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
  • Stay Ahead of What's Coming
  • Monitor developments from OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Translate policy updates into practical insights to help ag retailers understand and anticipate compliance changes.
What You Need To Be Successful5+ years of EHS experience in the agricultural sector (ag retail preferred).Deep understanding of federal and state EHS regulations, with the ability to make complex information accessible to a broad audience.Clear, confident communication skills-both written and verbal.The ability to earn and maintain trust with a wide range of stakeholders, from frontline workers to senior executives.A passion for advancing safety, sustainability, and responsible business practices in agriculture.Additional High Performer QualificationsExperience leading EHS initiatives across multiple sites.Understanding of modern communication trends, including the ability to convey complex topics through short-form content, social media, and video-based formats to engage today's workforce (technical executional experience in this area not required).Background in content development or adult learning.Strong professional network within the ag retail, regulatory, or EHS communities.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Agronomy, or a related field.Relevant certifications such as CSP.Why Join Us
