Our mission is to enhance the quality of life in the communities we serve by providing exceptional public transportation services.Requirements:RATP Dev USA is seeking a dedicated and reliable Paratransit Driver to join our team at Winston-Salem Transit Authority (WSTA). The Paratransit Driver will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services to individuals with disabilities and elderly passengers who require specialized transit services.Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate paratransit vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the vehicle, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Follow scheduled routes and timetables, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of passenger trips, including pick-up and drop-off times.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and passengers, providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle.
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in transportation or customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to operate a paratransit vehicle and assist passengers with mobility challenges.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and assist passengers with mobility devices.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a vehicle.
