This position will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Meeting and tracking production requirements and metrics
- Training, coaching, mentoring and evaluating the hourly workforce
- Ensuring shift safety, quality and delivery goals are met
- Assisting with identifying process improvements
- Leading the shift start-up meeting
- Following the production schedule and making modifications as needed
- Reviewing and confirming shift paperwork and production numbers
- Communicating with 1st and 3rd shift production supervisors at shift change
- Confirming time sheets, vacation and time off within the timekeeping system
- Conducting reviews and disciplinary action as needed
- Ensuring that training is completed for new and current staff
- Other duties as directed by management
1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
2. At least two years in a similar supervision role3. Experience working in injection or blow molding environments
4. Experience overseeing at least 10 employees5. Experience conducting disciplinary actions and writing employee reviews6. Willingness to work the second shift long term7. Basic Microsoft Office skillsSkills preferred but NOT required:
