Job Description:Job Title: Lead Hydraulic Component InstallerLocation: Terex USA, Mt. Vernon, MOPosition Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Hydraulic Component Installer to oversee the installation of hydraulic components in our manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in hydraulic systems, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The Lead Hydraulic Component Installer will be responsible for coordinating installation activities, providing technical guidance to the installation team, and ensuring that all hydraulic systems meet performance requirements before shipping.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise a team of hydraulic component installers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful completion of installation projects.Plan and schedule installation activities, assigning tasks to team members and coordinating with other departments to meet production deadlines.Conduct hands-on installation of hydraulic components as needed, demonstrating proper techniques and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.Perform thorough testing of hydraulic systems, including pressure testing, flow testing, and functional testing, to verify correct operation and identify any issues or defects.Inspect installed components and systems for leaks, defects, or malfunctions, and oversee troubleshooting efforts to address any problems that arise.Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and ensure that hydraulic systems meet performance and safety standards.Enforce safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with OSHA regulations, to maintain a safe work environment.Document installation procedures, test results, and any modifications made to hydraulic systems, maintaining accurate records for quality assurance and compliance purposes.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in hydraulic component installation processes and implement best practices to optimize productivity.Assist in the training and development of installation team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in hydraulics preferred.
  • Proven experience in hydraulic system installation and maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong technical aptitude and expertise in hydraulic principles, components, and systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve common goals.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring manual labor and lifting of heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic testing equipment and diagnostic tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
