We are working exclusively and directly with the company to fill this position!Due to the retirement of a long-term employee, manufacturer is seeking a degreed Quality Engineer to join their quality engineering team. The Quality Engineer will be assigned to a specific area of the plant and will report to the Quality Manager. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining quality assurance standards in a specific area of the plant
- Coordinating with production and engineering to maintain and improve quality standards
- Gathering documentation and information to support the PPAP process
- Leading root cause analysis in the assigned area and establishing corrective actions
- Completing internal quality audits
- Creating and updating control plans and FMEA documentation
- Monitoring new launch processes and event trials
- Developing, coaching and mentoring quality staff
- Administering quality training
- Communicating with internal partners on any quality concerns or issues
- Presenting quality results and metrics on a regular basis to the management team
- Other duties as delegated by management
1. Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a technical field2. At least three years of experience working in mass production manufacturing environments as a quality, process or manufacturing engineer3. Experience working with quality systems (ISO, IATF, etc.)4. Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions5. Experience utilizing formal problem solving tools
6. Ability to read blueprints7. Mechanical aptitude8. Microsoft Excel experience, including charts, graphs and formulasSkills preferred but NOT required:
1. Experience completing audits2. Statistical process control
3. Automotive supplier experience
4. Six Sigma or Lean certifications5. PPAP and FMEA documentation6. ERP system experience7. Launch, validation, trial runs, prototyping, etc.Why work for this organization:
