This position leads a team of Smart Building Analytics Managers while personally contributing technical skills to deliver exceptional data-driven facilities management insights through JLL's smart building platform.This role reports to the Americas Head of Intelligent Operations and is part of the operational team that supports and deploys technology platforms related to smart building services and IoT solutions across diverse client portfolios. The successful candidate will leverage deep technical knowledge of building systems and analytics while developing team members to maximize their potential and deliver outstanding value to clients.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementManage and develop a team of Smart Building Analytics Managers, overseeing workload allocation, performance management, and professional development.Establish and maintain standardized operating procedures for internal intelligent operation processes.Collaborate with other teams within JLL’s Technical Services and Sustainable Operations (TSSO) group to share best practices and optimize cross-functional operations.Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.Technical Execution & Platform ManagementPersonally contribute to technical initiatives and maintain expertise in smart building analytics.Perform energy analysis at the building, meter and equipment level. Provide energy savings calculations for improvements made based on recommendations. Perform ROI analysis.Understand equipment operation and design. Ability to analyze sequences of operation to determine proper operation of equipment and the ability to suggest better control strategies.Drive data-informed decisions on equipment operation, control, and maintenance for optimal efficiency.Review and analyze output from smart building platform analytics, working with site teams to resolve detected anomalies.Develop new analytics in the JLL platform as needs arise. Document and review with team members for roll out to different client sites.Ensure data quality and continuous data flow from all monitored systems and points.Perform building automation system (BAS) event triage and communicate performance insights to stakeholders.Contribute to initiatives incorporating data mining, analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning into platform capabilities.Support software development teams by recommending enhancements, documenting bugs, and identifying new applications.Client Delivery & Relationship ManagementEnsure successful onboarding and commissioning of new client facilities.Leverage analytics and data to define additional metrics and rules that provide clients with increased savings and improved reliability.Communicate results of analysis to different levels of the organization including maintenance technicians, building automation experts, facility mangers and senior leaders.Support site engineering teams in their troubleshooting efforts. Understand the different causes of failure for equipment.Support site teams in technology deployments while understanding clients' future strategy and business needs.Train client users to effectively utilize smart building analytics platforms.Business Development & GrowthSupport business development efforts to onboard new clients, expand existing relationships and support client retention.Identify opportunities to reduce costs or expand services at existing client sites.Develop case studies, reports, and system demonstrations for business development initiatives.Assist in developing new services and functionality to provide additional client value.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer ScienceExperience: 8+ years in delivery of design, fault detection, controls, energy management, or analytics related to real estate mechanical and electrical systemsLeadership: Proven people management experience with ability to lead technical teamsTechnical Skills: Working proficiency with SkySpark, machine learning, or similar tools for fault detection/prediction rules and queriesSystems Knowledge: Expert understanding of HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, and other building systems for anomaly detectionBuilding Automation: Working knowledge of building automation systems across commercial offices, data centers, and other building typesMaintenance: Experience with predictive maintenance techniques for HVAC and building systemsOperations: Knowledge of centralized command center operations and remote operations supportManagement: Business and project management experienceCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skillsSoftware: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and data analytics toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience with SkySpark and Axon spark engineKnowledge of Project Haystack tagging conventionProfessional certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Professional Engineer (PE), or similar industry certificationsExperience developing custom dashboards and analytics interfaces for clientsKnowledge of IoT platforms and smart building technologiesExperience with fault detection and diagnostics systemsBackground in reliability engineering or reliability-centered maintenanceExperience managing client relationships in technical service environmentsBusiness development experience in technology or engineering servicesKnowledge of sustainability and energy principles in the built environmentEstimated total compensation for this position:130,000.00 – 160,000.00 USD per yearThe total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed.
