US Citizenship RequiredAbout the RoleWe are seeking a Production Planner to coordinate, schedule, and monitor products through the complete production cycle. The ideal candidate will have a background in electronics manufacturing and be skilled at driving production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate across engineering, materials management, operations, and quality.You will play a critical role in supporting a growing manufacturing team (currently 5, with plans to expand to 15+), ensuring that production goals are met and new product introductions are successfully integrated into operations.Essential Functions
- Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering and Materials Management to develop internal master schedules for assigned programs.
- Release work orders to production based on schedules, material availability, and capacity.
- Monitor manufacturing conformance to schedule using ERP/MRP systems; expedite make items as required.
- Oversee operational measures including efficiency, inventory accuracy, work order release, and on-time delivery. Report variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage and control manufacturing floor stock for assigned programs.
- Advise management on work progress, material risks, and production challenges.
- Coordinate scheduling of shared equipment and personnel with process owners.
- Support and guide other team members; may lead projects with delegated work responsibilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including assemblers/technicians, materials, quality, and product line managers.
- Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, OR Associate’s Degree with 8+ years, OR Graduate Degree with 2+ years.
- Previous production planning and/or new product introduction experience.
- Experience in an electronics production manufacturing environment (production planner, master scheduler, demand planner, or supply planner).
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems with MRP & MPS capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables, charts/graphs).
- Proven ability to track and drive operational performance (efficiency, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy).
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Must work onsite 5 days per week.
- Preferred:
- APICS Certification.
- Lean Manufacturing training/certification.
- Must-Haves (Hard Skills): Electronics manufacturing planning, ERP/MRP scheduling, advanced Excel, operational performance tracking.
- Must-Haves (Soft Skills): Goal- and deadline-driven, detail-oriented, flexible, strong communicator.
- Nice-to-Haves: APICS certification, Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Deal Breaker: Cannot work remotely; must be onsite.
