The salary range for this position is dependent on experience level and location ranging from $83,804.00 to $115,232.00Job SummaryThe Manager Programs Projects will have a central role in Managing Avangrid’s Electric Construction service contract. The contract scope covers Transmission, Distribution, and Substation work for identified capital projects to support the capital investment plan for its four Operating Companies NYSEG, RG&E, CMP, and UI. The individual will manage programs and projects and provide relationship management across the Networks business, Procurement, and suppliers on behalf of Process and Technologies and Avangrid.Major Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight and monitoring of various programs and projects mainly related to the Electric Construction service contract through its life cycle, including: specification and pricing unit development, tender phase, contractor start up, and ongoing process technical support.
  • Acts as a liaison between Avangrid Electric Networks lines of business (Projects, Engineering, Operations, Procurement) to identify and prioritize business requirements related to Electric Construction service contracts to drive efficiencies for the Networks business.
  • Leads cross-functional project teams. Holds regular program/project status meetings across diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Develops KPI’s and action plans based on data to improve performance and maintain contract governance.
  • Acts as the lead team member with respect to accomplishing day-to-day goals and provides direction and leads decision making. Holds project team members accountable for results.
  • Provides linkage to management for decision making outside of day-to-day program/project team activities.
  • Performs additional support and leadership as needed within Contract Admin group.
  • Provides relationship management for the business area.
Education & Experience Required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field with 8 years related utility experience or Associates Degree in a technical field with 10 years related utility experience. A minimum of 8 years of relevant utility experience required in either electric T&D Construction, Substations, Operations and/or Engineering.
  • PMP Certification for Project/Program management, preferred.
  • Program/project management experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Suite knowledge with strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of activity-based unit costing development is a plus.
  • Contract documentation development, review, and negotiation is preferred.
