- The Formula Implementation Specialist I is a key contributor within the Research & Development department, responsible for supporting the implementation of critical product formulas across North American and International/Co-Pack operations. This role demands a deep understanding of formula documentation processes, regulatory compliance, and technical precision. The Specialist I ensures accurate and efficient formula creation and management, directly supporting product launches, production transitions, and overall business success. This position requires a highly skilled individual with technical expertise and the ability to work cross-functionally to meet business-critical objectives.
- Provide critical support for the implementation of complex product formulas, ensuring compliance with both company standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA).
- Accurately create, validate, and maintain formula documentation in centralized systems, ensuring that data is managed efficiently and aligns with project timelines.
- Serve as a key liaison between Product Development, Manufacturing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, and other stakeholders, ensuring the smooth transition of formulas into production.
- Support the execution of high-priority product launches by managing formula data and ensuring accuracy throughout the production process.
- Ensure all formula documentation is accessible, compliant, and aligned with both internal and external customer requirements.
- Monitor and report on formula implementation processes, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall product quality.
- Utilize ERP systems (SAP) and project management tools to maintain accurate records and track formula documentation through various stages of implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot formula-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal production disruption.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of formula documentation processes, contributing to the company’s strategic goals of operational efficiency and business growth.
- Strong technical knowledge of formula documentation processes and regulatory compliance (FDA), ensuring product integrity and adherence to industry standards.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP), data management, and spreadsheet analysis, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot formula-related issues and provide timely solutions to ensure seamless production processes.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams across Product Development, Manufacturing, Sales, and Regulatory Affairs to ensure successful product implementations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that all formula data is managed effectively and aligned with business-critical timelines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
- One to two years of experience in formula implementation, product development, or related fields, preferably in an FDA-regulated industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology) is strongly preferred.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and documentation management in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of mathematical principles for formula calculation and validation, ensuring accuracy in product specifications.
- Visual/Sensory - This position requires regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
- Frequent standing or walking; occasional stooping, kneeling, and lifting (up to 20 lbs.).
- Visual attention to detail with moderate sensory engagement.
