Location: Portland, Oregon
Pay: $25 $45 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-time

What Youll Do:
Youll lead our machining operations in a hands-on role that includes multi-axis CNC programming, setup, and daily supervision of a small team. Responsibilities include:
Programming & SetupCreate and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis mills and lathes using Mastercam and SolidWorksDesign fixtures and tooling for efficient setupsLead setups for critical jobs with proper workholding and toolingStandardize processes to improve setup times and consistency
Floor LeadershipSupervise and act as the technical lead on the machining floorAssign jobs, monitor progress, and ensure production and quality targets are metTrain and support machinistsPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
Quality & EfficiencyOversee inspection of parts using calipers, micrometers, and CMMsEnsure parts meet engineering drawings and GD&T specsCollaborate with engineering and leadership to improve strategies and shop efficiencyMaintain machine upkeep and monitor maintenance schedules

What You Need to Have:10 years of CNC programming, setup, and machining experienceLeadership or supervisory experience in a machine shopProficiency in Mastercam, SolidWorks, and G-code programming (milling and turning, including 5-axis)Strong understanding of tooling, materials, feeds/speeds, and precision machiningAbility to read technical drawings and interpret GD&TStrong organizational and communication skills
The Musts:Hands-on experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machinesDemonstrated ability to lead and mentor team membersHigh standards for quality, safety, and efficiency
Preferred:Background in aerospace, defense, or medical industriesExperience implementing process improvements on the shop floor
