Our platform enables secure, real-time financial operations at scale, powering thousands of businesses across North America.The RoleWe're looking for a senior-level backend engineer to lead core payments and ledgering systems. This person will drive architecture and execution of money movement flows, financial reconciliation, and internal tooling to support a multi-billion-dollar transaction pipeline.What You’ll DoBuild and scale the systems that handle transaction reconciliation across multiple third-party providers.Ensure consistency between internal records and user-facing balances.Collaborate with a third-party ledger infrastructure partner to build reliable, high-performance accounting systems.Design and implement new money movement flows (e.g., push-to-card, wires), optimizing for cost, reliability, and speed.Scope and lead large backend/platform projects end-to-end, including mentoring a small team of engineers.Work cross-functionally with product and GTM teams to turn complex business needs into scalable technical solutions.Contribute to a high-bar engineering culture and operational excellence.What We’re Looking For6–15 years of backend engineering experience in B2B or B2C SaaS (experience in fintech a plus).Strong systems design background, ideally in payments, ledgers, or transaction-heavy domains.Experience scaling platforms to support large volume financial operations.Passion for clean, maintainable code and mentoring others.Familiarity with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies is helpful (not required).Why JoinHigh ownership role shaping the backbone of a mission-critical product.Hybrid model with vibrant hubs in major North American cities.Work alongside engineers from top companies in tech and fintech.Backed by premier investors with a strong path to scale and impact.Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and long-term growth.
