- Executes and assists with the site level yearly Lean activity calendar to support goals in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity (cost) or SQDIP.
- Supports in the Strategic Deployment yearly process at the site level.
- Executes and coordinates Operational Savings projects with tangible benefits in the site’s P&L and supports with required savings tracking activities.
- Executes and ensures progress on the site level yearly Kaizen event calendar.
- Executes activities and coordinates any required updates aligned with the site level yearly Aspen Business System maturity progression plan.
- Leads required 6S and Daily Group Accountability activities across all departments in the site to ensure deployment as per standards.
- Coordinates and manages Gemba Walks and Obeya action plans for the site.
- Coordinates the site level report out mechanism for strategic initiatives, operational savings, and shop floor improvement projects in LeanDNA (trains others in LeanDNA).
- Provides on-going trainings, conducts events, and develops required documentation to promote a Lean culture and Lean capabilities in the organization.
- Conducts time studies and standardized work evaluations across departments to identify and execute on labor and equipment productivity opportunities.
- Ensures proper maintenance and configuration of LeanDNA for effective project management within the site.
- Creates process maps for both manufacturing and administrative processes when needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 1-2 years of previous Lean Manufacturing experience (or equivalent) in a manufacturing environment.
- Has lead 5+ Kaizen events which have successfully delivered savings.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio).
- Strong statistical, analytical, decision making & sense of urgency skills.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a variety of environments and assignments.
- Time management and planning skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize accordingly.
- Self-driven and motivated
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Frequently required to stand.
- Occasionally required to walk.
- Frequently required to sit.
- Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
- Frequently works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather).
- While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 10 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Color vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
