- $160,800-193,000 per year
- Permanent
- Full-time
The Simulation Application team builds the critical tooling and infrastructure that enables scenario creation, execution, evaluation, and reporting across Torc's advanced autonomy simulation platform. This team sits at the intersection of simulation core, cloud orchestration, data pipelines, and developer interfaces - empowering engineers to efficiently validate autonomy software at scale. What You'll Do
In this role, you will contribute across both front-end and back-end layers to build end-to-end systems that drive simulation scenario management, metrics evaluation, and simulation result reporting. This includes building web-based interfaces, backend services, and data pipelines that integrate deeply with the broader simulation ecosystem.
- Build full-stack solutions for scenario definition, simulation orchestration, metrics
- Design and implement APIs and backend services in C++, Python, or Go.
- Design relational data models and develop data pipelines to aggregate simulation metrics.
- Implement automated front-end and back-end tests to ensure system stability and
- Contribute to long-term architectural design discussions across the full simulation

- Strong experience developing React (preferred) or Vue.js front-end applications.
- Proficiency with front-end testing frameworks (JEST or Vitest).
- Back-end programming experience in C++, Python, or Go.
- Experience developing and maintaining relational databases (Postgres preferred).
- Strong software engineering discipline with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and code review experience.
- Ability to operate across multiple layers of the stack and translate complex simulation requirements into actionable software solutions.
- Prior experience developing simulation or developer tools.
- Familiarity with scenario definition standards (OpenSCENARIO, OpenDRIVE, OSI).
- Experience designing data pipelines for large-scale evaluation workloads.
- Experience in cloud-based deployments (AWS, container orchestration, auto-scaling groups).
