Purpose and Scope:Supports an organization or department by performing secretarial and clerical services for the Student Information Management department regarding the maintenance of student records in accordance with District, state and federal policies and procedures. Assists management with administrative tasks such as tracking and compiling information of interest. Essential Job Functions: * Provides general clerical and secretarial support for programs and projects for the Student Information Management department.
Prepare various reports detailing the administrative information handled by the position. Prepares basic correspondence, orders supply and covers telephones for the Student Information Management department.
Identifies issues or problems and seek assistance from higher level personnel or management.
Prepares and maintains a variety of reports, records, correspondence, and files related to assigned service, activities, and operations; provides appropriate research and compiles reports as needed.
Assists with the maintenance of student records in accordance with District, state and federal policies and procedures.
Assists with compiling and recording student data related to enrollment, registration, transcripts, reports and documentation.
Attends training to stay abreast of legislation and trends in areas of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of experience in a related field for a total education/experience of 2 years. Certified in Microsoft Office and/or Administrative Professional (CAP) preferred. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).Degree Equivalency Formula:Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.Master’s Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master’s degrees are required, years for Bachelor’s Degrees must be included.
