- Provides leadership and direction for the operation of the Office of Campus Engagement, assisting with events and initiatives sponsored by the department and co-supervising student workers and graduate assistants
- Completes various administrative tasks, including submission of accounts payable forms, purchase orders and other forms to the Director, and assisting in management of the office email and phone inboxes
- Provides support for the development, promotion, and production of social, cultural, educational and spiritual student activities and programs that meet the needs and interests of the University's diverse population
- Develops and coordinates programming to support first generation student success and engagement, First-Year Orientation programming, and parent programs
- Oversees the efforts of the Campus Activities Board, a student programming body that oversees events such as Homecoming Week, Spring Formal, and monthly social programs, and serves as a co-advisor for the Student Government Association
- Collaborates and coordinates with academic departments, Spiritual Life, Center for International Student Services, Athletics, and Alumni Relations for event planning, promotion, and awareness
- Creates and promotes campus involvement opportunities through various means, such as cultural celebrations on a monthly basis, a Campus Involvement Fair each semester, and the promotion of clubs and organizations throughout the year
- Serves as a resource to all student-based clubs/organizations, as well as their assigned advisors by creating and distributing the student organization handbook
- Assists with exploration of grants and leading initiatives, which help to support students of color in their academic pursuits
- Routinely assesses the programs/events offered in order to ensure that the needs and interests of CUC's campus community are met
- Coordinates and participates in the UG Jump Start programs, International student orientations, and Undergraduate Admissions Visit Day events
- Enthusiastic supporter of Lutheran higher education and the mission, vision, and core values of Concordia University Chicago

- Demonstrated proficiency in marketing/promotions (web-based, print format, etc.)
- Knowledge of standard software packages and programs (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Must possess a valid driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must be physically able to carry up to 20lbs up three flights of stairs
- Will be required to maintain strict confidentiality
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- Master's degree in student development or related area preferred
