
Business Analyst - Medicaid

- Works closely with customer to elicit business requirements, and coordinate with systems analysts to develop system requirements for major projects of considerable complexity.
- Prepares general system design specifications.
- Creates, reviews, analyzes, and estimates project requests.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers handling all aspects of client relations concerning technical projects, including notifying the client of implementation schedules and coordination and assistance in presentation of results.
- Understands the connections between multiple State initiatives and their cross-impact.
- Fields direct questions from Gainwell Operations Staff regarding business, technical and operations rules.
- Develops technical solutions to complex business and system problems.
- Leads development teams through project implementation.
- Reviews and validates test results per requirements.
- Supports Integrated Test Facility (QA), as needed.
- Experience working directly with customers eliciting and defining requirements. Demonstrated ability to interpret policy and translate into system requirements.
- Knowledge of policy for Medicaid and other State health programs a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a given time and adapt to changing priorities and manage workload accordingly
- Ability to abide by Gainwell policies
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Ability to establish and maintain positive, effective work relationships with clients, coworkers, customers, and development staff
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceRequired Experience:
