BWC’s core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC’s seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am. If you are interested in helping BWC grow, please click this to read more, and then come back to this job posting to submit your application!What You’ll Be Doing:· Manages overall accounting functions for the 6 funds administered by Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation· Under Financial Reporting Manager’s direction, plans, directs, and manages activities of 3 senior financial analysts and 1 financial analyst in the General Ledger unit· Prepares financial statements and reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Governmental Accounting Standards Board pronouncements· Manages the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual report, external audit schedules, projected financial statements, and ad hoc reporting· Manages and reviews employee work assignmentQualifications54 mos. exp. or 54 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.-Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software.-Or 12 mos. exp. as Senior Financial Analyst, 66563.-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
