
LNA Care Partner/Perioperative Support Services Tech - Per Diem

- Delivers daily care to patients in an effective and timely manner that is appropriate to the patient’s age, physical ability, and intellectual development as assigned by licensed RN’s. Such activities may include bathing patients, bed making, assisting with toileting, catheter care, providing nourishment and water, assisting with ambulation, transporting patients, obtaining and recording patient vital signs, obtaining patient weight.
- Carries out special orders and treatments as directed by a R.N.
- Specimen collection and testing, intake and output, use of assistive devices, etc.
- Provides for the comfort needs of patients: answers call lights promptly and reports findings in a timely manner.
- Documents on patient records where appropriate.
- Adheres to safety practices, reports accidents/hazards and maintains equipment as outlined in hospital policies.
- Protects patients from injury by ensuring side rails are up, bed/stretcher is in low position, and needed articles are within reach. Orients and, as needed, reorients patient to his/her immediate environment.
- Assists with the safe transportation of patients.
- Cleans patient equipment and maintains a clean and orderly patient room.
- Puts away supplies delivered to the unit in appropriate location by the end of the shift, thus ensuring that patient support areas (kitchen, utility rooms, supply room) are neat and orderly. Checks and maintains supplies within patient rooms as directed.
- Coordinates and disseminates discharge/admission information to identified sources and coordinates future information needs.

- Assures that equipment is kept clean and in safe storage.
- Maintains/orders established level of housekeeping supplies and equipment on a daily basis. Manages inventory of housekeeping supplies.
- Communicates effectively with co-workers.
- Adheres to safety practices, reports accidents/hazards and suggests changes for improvement of processes.
- Distributes OR attire to male and female locker rooms, assuring adequate supply.
- Performs terminally cleaning of the OR’s, Sub sterile rooms and Endoscopy/ procedure Room every day and maintains a cleaning log.
- Supports departmental as well as organizational efforts to improve and maintain a positive and supportive culture in both words and actions.
