On site in Indianapolis, INWHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Develop comprehensive test plans based on system requirements and design specifications.
- Execute system tests to verify functionality, performance, and reliability across various platforms and environments.
- Identify, isolate, and document issues or defects discovered during testing.
- Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and product managers to prioritize and address identified issues.
- Develop automated test scripts and tools to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on system architecture and requirements to ensure testability and verifiability.
- Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.
ESSENTIAL:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 1-4 years of relevant work experience
- Must be a US Citizen / Green Card holder
- Proven experience in system testing and requirements verification, preferably in a hardware/software development environment.
- Ability to follow procedures such as reviews, problem reporting and test method application
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for test automation.
- Experience with test management tools and version control systems (e.g., JIRA, Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in aviation or automotive systems is a plus
- Familiarity with hardware testing tools and techniques.
