- Overall planning, direction, prioritization and delivery of all projects in a manner aligned with the client's expectations and business needs.
- Ensures the ongoing process/system capabilities associated with projects meet the project needs and desired results.
- Manages any changes required to meet or exceed the expectations established in project designs.
- May also be responsible for Project Management Office (PMO) activities such as methodology development, project quality assurance and competency development.
- Deep understanding of their own subject area and a broad understanding of related subject areas.
- Handle diverse issues and lead projects that contribute to the company's success.
- Manages a broad, complex portfolio of projects.
- Projects will have large teams and will be globally dispersed, both with IT and business employees. The projects and programs usually have global impact and have complex business and technical challenges.
- Defines program value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline and budget for global programs.
- Viewed internally as a project management expert.
- Monitors project performance in the Project Reporting System.
- Conducts PM Metrics and Practices Reviews.
- Facilitates Peer Project Reviews and Management Project reviews.
- Supports PM Help Desk

- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and possess an Active DoD security clearance (minimum of Secret)
- Bachelor's level degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of program/project management experience to include:
- US Navy and/or support to US Navy ship systems engineering or acquisition program office.
- Knowledge in Navy acquisition/life cycle support processes for systems or component design, development, engineering, installation, maintenance, and/or modernization efforts having served as Gov't staff or contractor technical support in warfare/platform systems program offices or systems engineering offices or activities.
- Experience/understanding of US Navy technical authority processes, including certification.
- Familiar with shipboard HM&E systems, and their operations, maintenance, and training; particularly with fleet engineering activity experience with electrical systems, batteries, and/or other high energy storage systems.
- Broad base understanding of engineering/technical disciplines for marine/shipboard systems.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex system design and technical issues, and hands-on experience with technical documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written communications (technical papers and naval correspondence).
- Exceptional understanding of IT Project Management principles and techniques.
- Exceptional expert proficiency in the specific tools that are available and required as part of the company's project management information system.
- Exceptional ability to identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action plans.
- Exceptional ability to ensure that effective project controls are in place to monitor project or program performance.
- Exceptional capability at providing effective performance reporting for the client and company in order to monitor the progress of the project.
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills.
- Exceptional ability to lead global project teams of large scope and high complexity
- Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
