This team is shaping the future of Auto/Mfg industry including Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Advanced Vehicle Simulation Software, Smart Manufacturing, and more.This team works in partnership with the global Automotive and Manufacturing sales team to accelerate the adoption of AWS cloud across services, solutions, workloads and AWS offerings. This is a critical role reporting directly to the WWSO Auto/Mfg business leader, developing and implementing the business development plan in support of global sales organization and prioritization of specialist resource investments and customer adoption plans for current and future services. This team leads field motions with deep domain expertise and also includes cross service C-level conversations with Automotive and Manufacturing leaders.AWS is looking for an accomplished leader with experience across product, business, and technology who has worked with global Enterprises and high-growth organizations to accelerate their cloud-native journey. This leader will have revenue responsibility while leading a cross-functional team of specialists. The Specialist team that this person will lead also acts as an important feedback ingestion point from all global A&M customers that directly feeds into the roadmap for product and services team at AWS. While leading a team of technical, product, and business experts, you will lead domain-based discussions with C-suite executives. You play a critical role in taking the voice of the customer and sharing it back to the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) team to ensure customer feedback is amplified to effectively influence our technology roadmaps and Go-To-Market strategy. This role will contribute to the overall performance of the business globally measured by revenue growth, net new customers, and product and service influence. You will have experience as a leader with significant vertical exposure. You will have overachieved throughout your career and built strong, deep relationships with global organizations and scientific community.Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background that allows them to strategically engage at the executive level both with customers and internal stakeholders. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a fast moving strategy plan. Operational excellence is a key requirement for the role.
  • Hire, on-board, coach, and develop new Specialists from internal and external sources.
  • Develop mechanisms, and tools that enable fast engagement with customers and track key metrics, and KPIs for your team.
  • Build and leverage relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to further the adoption of AWS services in the market.
  • Lead a Customer Obsessed business that delights our customers and aids in their innovation.
  • Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM strategies to achieve customer outcomes.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS specialist community
  • Guide and motivate the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices. Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time.

- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $154,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
