Washington, DC - SEPay: $24.04/hr ($50,000)Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Men's Shelter Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services/Science, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology/Criminal Justice, or a related field from a US-based institution. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of experience working with at-risk clients in a direct service setting.Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to men experiencing homelessness who reside in the shelter.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized service plans for clients.
- Offer emotional support, guidance, and crisis intervention to clients in need.
- Assist clients in accessing resources such as housing assistance, healthcare services, and job training programs.
- Collaborate with other staff members and community partners to coordinate services and ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities as required.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services/Science, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology/Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with at-risk clients in a direct service setting.
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health issues is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients.
- Must be male, as the position involves working in a men's shelter environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
