If you're ready to take your career to the next level and gain valuable experience, apply today!Under limited supervision, the Mgr, Billing will identify, evaluate, develop, and implement systems and procedures that facilitate the increased electronic efficiencies of the billing process to improve the revenue cycle of PDS. The Mgr, Billing will provide subject matter leadership and guidance while communicating the mission and vision of PDS as outlined by the executive team. This position will represent a continuous understanding of the relationship between the field’s daily operations and the ROC’s daily operations.Responsibilities
  • Act as a Liaison between Field operations and ROC support to implement better processes that improve the PDS revenue cycle with primary focus on billing and collections of insurance claims.
  • Manage billing processes for offshore and onshore operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • The Manager Billing will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, managing a team, and implementing efficient billing strategies.
  • Prepare and analyze billing reports, metrics, and KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement high-level strategic plans to increase up to 95% efficiencies in the ROC with primary focus on electronics and billing of insurance claims.
  • Provide effective leadership, coaching and mentoring in an effort to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and to execute auditing best practices.
  • Constantly search for best practices for specialty and general and help implementation and execution of system in place.
  • Must keep commitments and keep direct supervisors informed of work progress, timetables, and issues.
  • Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies, addresses others professionally and respectfully.
  • Perform Human Resources related functions, such as interviewing and selecting, Performance Appraisals, Disciplinary Actions and Salary Administration.
  • Ensure Compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, Quality Improvement – Assurance , Regional Analysts to resolve billing issues and optimize billing procedures.
  • Report weekly to manager detailing accomplishments, areas for improvement, clear performance goals, and effectiveness of systems.
  • Manage a team whose main responsibility is to bill, trace, audit dental and dental-medical claims.
  • Monitor performance and ensure optimal staffing levels.
  • Through working with other departments within PDS, implement new systems and protocol to improve on effectiveness of Department.
  • Create an environment to facilitate learning.
  • Lead and participate in meetings as required.
  • Act as mentor, support, and assist in the development and training of staff.
  • Conduct one- one meetings with direct reports and offshore leadership.
  • Bring forth ideas to improve processes and materials.
  • Other duties assigned by Management.
Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or technical school; In lieu of degree, 5+ years of related experience
  • 6+ years of professional work experience
  • Operational management knowledge of medical/dental offices.
  • Knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and Epic software applications.
Preferred
  • Experience leading a team, mentoring and coaching subordinates.

  • Extensive knowledge of insurance company policy and procedures and know how to make proper adjustments according to PDS claims processing criteria.
  • Requires knowledge of Dental Plans, fees, general plan design, administrative guidelines, limitations and exclusions, reporting systems; business correspondence and business reporting techniques; and business principles of profit & loss statements.
  • Knowledge of general human relations topics and conflict resolution.
  • Displays independent judgment by willingness to make timely and accurate decisions based on available information that is sometimes vague or limited in nature.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and work in a fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, without compromising quality of work.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and projects with limited direction, while understanding and contributing to the success of the organization.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, or other members of the business community.
