- Strengthen internal and external client relationships.
- Answer client questions about products, prices, and implementations.
- Utilize all available resources to reach prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
- Attend conferences, required training, conference calls, and/or webinars.
- Prepare presentations and correspondence, produce finished documents, and distribute correspondence.
- Co-facilitate sales presentations to prospective clients live and via virtual meetings.
- Travel approximately 75% of the time in the field, with overnight travel, as required.
- Generate sales reports and submit them to the AE and others.
- Visit clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
- Co-negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
- Help determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations.
- Maintain Salesforce CMS.
- Help with quotes building in Salesforce.
- Help manage the pipeline.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to improve marketing materials and expand the company's marketing presence in the territory.
- Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
- Other duties as required.
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in a business or education-related field, and at least two years of experience supporting a sales team -OR- at least two years of related experience in K-12 Education or the Educational Technology industry -OR- or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Strong business orientation and proactive problem-solving skills.
- A high degree of motivation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, influence, and presentation skills.
- A high degree of comfort, confidence, and professionalism presenting to current and prospective customers in the K-12 education space, including working without a script and effectively responding to ad hoc questions and scenarios.
- Ability to use independent judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Initiative, strong organizational and time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes, and a self-directed approach.
- Ability to effectively interface with decision-makers at all levels to provide superior customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality, results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and travel (up to 75%); will include overnight travel and may include weekend travel as needed to attend Monday morning events and meetings.
- Proficiency in online meeting applications like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Working knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce is preferred.
- Fingerprint clearance may be required; clearance must be obtained if needed.
