Be a Champion for Seniors: Physician Assistant (PA) – GeriatricsDo you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for caring for older adults?Our facility is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team and provide high-quality primary care to our valued residents. In this rewarding role, you'll work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the health and well-being of our residents, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and addressing acute needs.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in a geriatric population.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address residents' medical, physical, and psychological needs, in collaboration with the supervising physician.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform procedures within your scope of practice as authorized by the supervising physician.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Educate residents and families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
  • Advocate for residents' well-being and ensure they receive appropriate care.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications:
  • Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in good standing.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a geriatric setting (nursing home, long-term care, or geriatric clinic) preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills in geriatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Proficient in EHR documentation.
  • Must be able to work effectively under the supervision of a physician.
