Job DescriptionThis position is for a First Line Support Production Engineer with an innovative attitude to work in the Production Engineering department in Wilton. The candidate will work with cross-sector employees to provide rapid response to resolve disturbance notices related to engineering issues and perform the engineering steps listed in the production operator dashboard (POD) to support output.Responsibilities
- Spend about 75% of time in the cleanroom providing direct support to production processes and troubleshooting.
- Provide efficient response to troubleshoot mechanical assembly issues.
- Provide efficient response to troubleshoot flow and thermal issues.
- Provide efficient response to troubleshoot module test and final qualification issues.
- Provide efficient response to troubleshoot tooling and test stand issues.
- Develop OCAPs, Fishbones, and troubleshooting guidelines.
- Support diagnostics qualification and implementation for production staff.
- Evaluate and disposition failed parts with proposed solutions.
- Support development of manufacturing procedures and technical work instructions.
- Support design and document reviews for diagnostics.
- Support root cause analysis.
- Support cycle time and labor hours roadmaps implementation.
- Support PFMEA.

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience as Optical Engineers with Mechanics.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in an engineering environment.
- Working knowledge with mechanical assembly and alignment.
- Working knowledge with mechanical tooling and test equipment.
- Working knowledge in detectors, electro-optical devices, and opto-mechanical constructions.
- Experience in a production environment with high-tech products and complex production processes.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Knowledge of MATLAB, LabVIEW, and Python.
