This isan opportunity to work directly with students who need specialized academicsupport, helping them achieve their educational goals through targeted interventionand evidence-based instruction.As a SETSS provider with Knowledge Road, you will deliver individualized and small-groupinstruction in school settings, working collaboratively with families and school teams to support student progress and academic achievement.ResponsibilitiesAs a Special Education Teacher (SETSS) with Knowledge Road, you will:Provide high-quality, individualized, and small-group instruction to students withdisabilities, in accordance with their Individualized Education Service Programs(IESP).Ensure fulfillment of each student's weekly IESP mandates and maintain anintervention schedule aligned to the school timetable.Prepare and submit quarterly progress reports and maintain bi-weekly familycommunication with clear updates on progress and next steps.Record service delivery and student performance in Knowledge Road's systemwith accurate, timely documentation.Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that address thespecific academic, social, and emotional needs of each student.Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create a supportiveand an inclusive learning environment for your students.Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to families andschool-based teams.Participate in IESP meetings as needed, providing valuable insights andrecommendations to support student success.QualificationsMust-Have:NYS Students with Disabilities (B-2, 1-6, 7-12, or All Grades) or NYS Literacy Specialist.Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.Must not have been employed by NYC DOE within the last 12 months.Experience teaching Math and ELA.Reliable transportation.NYC DOE fingerprinting status/approval is required, or a willingness to obtain them before starting.Current OpeningsWe are currently hiring for the following full-time SETSS positions in Brooklyn:Brooklyn, NY 11236: Individual setting, grades to be determined.Brooklyn, NY 11209: Group setting, grades 7-12.Schedule & LocationThis is a full-time, school-day position with a schedule that aligns with the NYC DOEcalendar. Services will be provided on-site at a school in Brooklyn,with specific assignments based on student needs. Hours/week are driven by IESPmandates; caseload may vary by assignment. Typically ~20-30 hours/week, dependingon placements, with additional cases and hours available with coordination with our recruitment team.Compensation$60 - $100 per hour (1099). Rate varies by group size and assignment.
