- Lead current and future Factory and manufacturing layout improvements and requirements for manufacturability.
- Create value stream maps and identify improvement opportunities that reduce product cost and variation.
- Manage cross-functional process improvement projects.
- Lead and train the manufacturing team in lean waste reduction efforts.
- Utilize statistical analysis to identify process improvements that reduce variation and defects.
- Participate in design reviews focused on producibility and design for manufacturing and testing.
- Build and maintain capacity and simulation models for various product types.
- Lead in the improvement and evolution of the manufacturing execution system including the setup of manufacturing work center architecture and product flow.
- Work in a fast-paced agile environment and adapt to evolving design and production challenges.
- Provide inputs to manufacturing plans and operation strategy.
- Interface with production technician, engineering team and leadership on a daily basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or other related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering role or production environment.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and data analytics with SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Familiarity with capacity modeling, layout design, value stream mapping, and simulation modeling (Anylogic, AutoCAD, Draw.io, Visio).
- Demonstrated project management, change management, and continuous improvement (6 sigma, 5S) experience.
- Ability to use a pallet jack and lift boxes of up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience.
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.
- Proficient in documenting detailed assembly instructions with 3D models, pictures, diagrams and text.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Collaborative; capable of working across all levels of the organization.
- Understanding of how MRP works in product development and production environments.
- Knowledge of Production Systems and Lean Manufacturing elements.
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety elements.
- Use of SolidWorks, 2D and 3D modeling software.
- Experience with RF Products, Electromechanical assembly and test.
- Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality management systems elements.
