Location: San Diego, CADirect Counsel is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join a leading Am Law 100 firm in San Diego. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-stakes intellectual property disputes for some of the world’s most innovative companies, combining technical expertise with sophisticated legal strategy.What You’ll Do:Handle patent litigation matters across a range of advanced technologies.Collaborate with an elite team of attorneys to develop creative and effective litigation strategies.Conduct detailed research and analysis in technically complex cases.Communicate directly with clients and colleagues in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.What We’re Looking For:2–3 years of patent litigation experience.Strong academic credentials and excellent writing skills.Degree or strong background in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, material science, or a closely related field.Active bar membership and compliance with CLE requirements.Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-driven matters.Compensation & Benefits:Salary range of $235,000 – $260,000, commensurate with experience (adjusted for flex-time schedules).Hybrid work environment with flexibility.Annual technology allowance.Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.Family-friendly culture with wellness initiatives and back-up childcare support.If you have a passion for science, engineering, and intellectual property law — and want to build your career at a top Am Law 100 firm in San Diego — we’d love to hear from you.
