Our ability to perform projects collaboratively - under one roof - helps lower costs, increases accuracy, and improves project communications.For more information, please visit www.dyna-oregon.comJob Title: Field Training FacilitatorJob Summary:The main purpose of the Field Training Facilitator is to obtain, train and identify skills that need development for craft labor in the electrical construction industry.Duties and responsibilities:Training:
  • Work with Dynalectric Human Resources, Division managers, Field Operations Superintendents and Field supervision teams to ensure craft labor onboarding, and training is consistent with the needs of the company and is unified in message & execution. (Be aware of NHO questionnaire to identify specialized skills possessed by new hires)
  • Coordinate with Field Operations Superintendents & Field Supervisors to understand current and upcoming project staffing levels, and types of training that will be required to support these efforts. Weekly coordination with Field Operations Superintendent and Field Supervisors to understand current and future training needs. (Viewing project schedules, site visits, pre-con meetings identifying special trainings per project requirements)
  • Promote safety culture. Work with the safety manager to ensure company safety goals are being supported. (Meetings with safety manager to identify safety training needs)
  • Collaborate with Training Coordinator regarding onsite training or support requests through a Training Request Smartsheet process. Be accessible to field personnel to provide consultation, answer questions, provide continued education and if needed one on one support. (Walking project sites and identifying craft needs)
  • Assist in Deployment of company wide initiatives that will affect craft labor. (Coordinate with Training Manager Field Supervision for deployment of initiatives)
  • Facilitate Dynalectric Field Supervisor training in the main office or onsite.
  • Identify basic levels of competency and recommend training program for individual new hires. Be aware of NHO questionnaire, review remarks left by new hires in new hire packets. (Work with Field supervision to identify what roles & responsibilities new hires will be performing on project site)
  • Help develop training courses specific to hands on skills. Including, but not limited to conduit bending, basic wiring, best known trade methods. (Work with Field Training Manager on directives)
  • Help develop training courses specific to Field Leadership. (Work with Field Training Manager on directives)
  • Provide direction and coordinate logistics for the tools and training equipment necessary for hands on learning. Incorporate the space necessary to ensure an appropriate learning environment. (Book training spaces in the office or onsite as needed)
  • Support craft workers understanding of the NFPA 70 (NEC) code, when requested.
  • Assist in facilitating training of basic software use and company processes, as required for craft workers roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist and Coordinate Safety department training as required. (Commentary from the craft worker perspective)
  • Assist and coordinate with HR department training. Including, but not limited to Harassment, Diversity and Inclusion, Reasonable suspicion. (Commentary from the craft worker perspective)
Other miscellanies duties:
  • Work with Field Operations Superintendents to develop goals and future initiatives.
  • Coordinate with the Training Manager to make sure our message and content is in line with company objectives.
  • Be in tune with company goals and how to get info to the field. Identify what’s working and what may not be working adjust tactics as necessary. Work with other departments as needed to obtain the above goal.
  • Research better systems (tracking, schedule, manpower)
Qualifications:
  • Strong field supervisory experience
  • Understanding of training processes
  • Ability to read/write the primary language used in the workplace (English)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and pre-planning abilities.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and their practical application.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft 365 software suite, Bluebeam and Navisworks.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to employee safety.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments in the company.
Working Conditions:
  • Office work is generally conducted in a temperature-controlled environment; Locations may encounter noise from machinery/equipment/vehicles or other processes and equipment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; may be exposed to a variety of extreme conditions while at construction job sites (weather, noise, etc.)
  • Jobsite temperatures vary by season and location/task.
Physical requirements:Must be able to stand/walk/sit for long periods of time (8 hours or more); bend/stoop, kneel/crouch/squat while wearing a tool belt; lift, move or push up to 50 lbs; good manual dexterity (use/management of tools, typing, writing, operation of computers/mouse); ability to climb using a ladder; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Direct reports:The Field Training Facilitator(s) reports to the Training Manager Field Supervision(TMFS), and will also work with Division Managers, Field Operation Superintendents, and Field supervision.Benefits:
