Highlands Academy is located within the highly sought after corridor near Downtown Denver and has been an established early childhood center serving children Birth-5 years old for over 10 years! Our center is open year round with operation hours of 7:30AM-5:30PM.Your Role:
As an Assistant Preschool Teacher, you’ll support lead teachers in creating a playful, safe, and engaging environment for children ages 2.5-3 years old. You’ll build positive relationships, foster independence, and encourage exploration through open-ended materials, nature, storytelling, music, movement, and more.Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing play-based, developmentally appropriate activities
- Supervise and engage with children during free play, group time, outdoor play, and routines
- Promote children's social and emotional development through modeling, guidance, and encouragement
- Assist with daily routines such as snack, diapering/toileting, and cleanup
- Maintain a safe, tidy, and nurturing classroom environment
- Communicate positively with children, families, and team members
- Must hold at least a Level 2 credential in PDIS (completed ECE coursework or relevant degree)
- Experience working with young children (center, home, or informal setting)
- Warm, patient, and playful personality
- Passion for early childhood education and belief in the power of play
- Willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team
- Must meet state licensing requirements (background check, health clearances, etc.) and eligible to work in the United States

This is a full time, full year position. Scheduled work hours are between 8:00-5:00 or 9:00-5:30. Our salary range is based upon education and experience.To Apply:
