?Aggregates Plant Maintenance SupervisorSalary: $100-150k+Position SummaryIdentifies, evaluates, oversees and performs mechanical and preventative repairs to plant processing equipment at multiple construction material mining and processing plant sites in Colorado. Effectively manages a small team of technicians, and oversees projects, contractors and site maintenance personnel. These duties include mechanical repairs, welding, cutting, pipefitting, operation of light machine tooling, and associated administrative work. The candidate will apply knowledge about preventive maintenance, crushing equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and electrical components.Ensures the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and facilities.The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record of success in a similar role.Job Duties Include·Ensure safety of self and other people. This position has exposure to moving machine hazards and an outdoor working environment at multiple MSHA regulated mine sites.·Directly supervise and mentor a team of 1-2 maintenance technicians, delegating tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Occasionally oversee larger teams or teams of employees and contractors.·Develop and follow work schedules to meet project goals and objectives.·Supervise contractors and vendors working on sites.·Work with site personnel to evaluate and resolve safety issues when they arise·Participate in Company safety inspections as well as MSHA inspections·Proactively identify repair requirements for equipment and conduct effective and timely repairs as required.·Develop and execute preventative maintenance routines for plant equipment.·Lead and ensure execution of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures per company policy·Operate various plant equipment required to perform the job (stationary and mobile)·Read machine manuals, parts lists, blueprints and schematics.·Present process improvements to management team. Document failure findings through root cause analysis and suggest any improvements to extend life or decrease failure rate·Organize and rebuild bone yard equipment for future use. This includes and not limited to the testing and rebuilding of motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and bearings
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment and facilities across multiple sites.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and perform or arrange for necessary repairs, minimizing downtime.
·Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and availability. Keep detailed records of depletion and needed inventory.
  • Coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs or installations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Manage to budgeted maintenance costs for assigned sites.
  • Travel between multiple sites in Colorado as required.
·Perform other duties as assignedQualified applicants should possess the following:·5 years mechanical experience which includes experience in industrial maintenance repair·Ability to follow safety and environmental rules, regulations, and procedures·Ability and skills to supervise, mentor, motivate and delegate work to others.·Knowledge of crushing equipment, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, welding, plumbing, machine tooling, blue prints, schematics, parts lists, and equipment standards related to job duties.·Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic principles, application, troubleshooting, and repair.·Working knowledge of welding equipment and tools·Skills in basic welding and fabrication·Ability to read, understand, and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair·Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and blueprints·Basic math skills and use of measuring tools·Able to work various hours including nights and weekends to include overtime·Good communication skills and safety conscious.·Ability to work in all weather conditions,·Ability to work in elevated areas in a man lift·Highly reliable, team player, and the ability to work well with others·Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical, which will include a background checkMinimum Education and Experience·High School Diploma or GED equivalency·5 years mechanical experience in industrial maintenance and repairKnowledge and Skills·Must be able to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percentages, and read and interpret gauges, ratios, and read various equipment operation manuals·Must have base competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job·Ability to identify and solve problems, develop and select action plans, and make decisions with minimal supervision·Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions and work independently with little or no supervision·Must have the ability to plan, organize, and prepare accurate records and be a self-starter with little or no supervision·Working knowledge of OSHA and MSHA safety regulations.Preferred Experience/Qualifications·Previous experience supervising people in an industrial environment.·Previous mine operations experience a plus including work as a plant maintenance technician in sand and gravel mining operations·Vocational/Technical School Diploma· Must have a valid Driver’s LicenseBenefits:·Group Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance·Company-paid basic life insurance for employees, spouses, as well as children·Employee-only coverage in one of our plans is completely free!·Vision Care Insurance·Short-Term Disability·401k Savings Plans·Voluntary Group Term Life·Legal Shield/ID Shield·Canvas Credit Union·AFLAC Supplemental Insurance·Direct Deposit·Paid Weekly·The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all inclusive.
