The Sr. Quality Engineer will sit on the quality team out of the location near Buffalo Grove, IL. This role will work closely with the Quality Manager to drive continuous improvement in product and processes, leveraging strong skills in both quality and mechanical engineering.
  • Handling day-to-day design, supplier, production, and customer quality issues related to production lines
  • Resolving non-conformances in the production process by identifying the root cause and implementing solutions
  • Assist with internal audits to help the company maintain ISO 9001 compliance
  • Assisting with the application and monitoring of established inspection procedures and methods
  • Leveraging data findings to implement improvements in the process
  • Preparing documentation for customers and suppliers pertaining to quality standards
  • Reviewing manufacturing instructions for completeness, correctness, and comprehension by assembly personnel
  • Generating standards for suppliers and internal processes

  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or closely related field
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis problem solving techniques such as 8D and A3
  • Strong knowledge of 3D CAD
  • Strong unnderstanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, black belt preferred
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 quality standards
