Stanbridge University is seeking a dynamic candidate with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to serve as the Vocational Nursing Clinical Coordinator. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing university while directly supporting student success, faculty development, and strong clinical partnerships.Essential Functions:Clinical Partnerships & Site Management:
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with clinical partners.
  • Acquire new clinical sites to meet current and future program needs.
  • Complete and maintain clinical affiliation agreements and BVNPT applications.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to expand and diversify clinical partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with all clinical facility policies and requirements.
Faculty Support & Development:
  • Orient and mentor new clinical faculty, monitoring progress throughout the first 90 days of instruction.
  • Conduct faculty evaluations and classroom/clinical observations (90-day and annual reviews).
  • Host quarterly clinical training sessions to ensure consistency and quality of instruction.
  • Provide timely support for clinical faculty and serve as a resource for teaching and compliance.
Student Clinical Experience:
  • Oversee student clinical hour completion to ensure alignment with course requirements.
  • Monitor clinical facility placements to ensure students meet course and program objectives.
  • Coordinate student remediation events in collaboration with Student Services, instructors, and administrative staff.
  • Maintain oversight of student and faculty health documentation (e.g., Complio) for clinical eligibility.
Instruction & Coverage:
  • Teach at least one clinical course per term.
  • Provide clinical instruction and coverage as needed, including substituting for open clinical shifts.
  • Perform routine site visits and lab check-ins to ensure instructional and institutional compliance.
Compliance, Reporting & Leadership:
  • Conduct course audits to confirm timely submission of grades and compliance with program standards.
  • Maintain timely communication and reporting to the Assistant Director, including:
  • Status of site acquisitions
  • Progress of clinical faculty orientation
  • Clinical site and faculty concerns
  • Serve on departmental committees and participate in shared governance activities.
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director.
  • Serve on weekend on-call rotation
Qualifications:
  • Current and active California license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Four (4) years of bedside or clinical nursing experience within the past five (5) years.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Card.
  • Previous work experience in a patient care setting, hospitals, and/or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Previous teaching experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft: Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Up-to-Date Immunization Records
  • $90,000-$110,000/yr. Salary is dependent on experience and education.

Work Environment:
  • Standard office/classroom/lab or clinical setting.
  • Duties are typically performed while sitting at a desk or computer workstation.

  • Subject to frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment, and demanding timelines.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly sits for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to perform program- or department-related duties.
  • Proficient in using electronic keyboards and office equipment.
  • Effective verbal communication via phone and in person.
  • Ability to read fine print, operate computers, and understand voices clearly.
  • Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 10–25 pounds as needed.
