Overview:The Inspector Intern is responsible for conducting building inspections for residential, commercial and industrial properties. Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring daily compliance and resolving daily construction related issues.
  • Ensure quality in all inspections in an efficient manner.
  • Verify that materials, equipment, and procedures are as specific for the project, as well as testing of procedure qualification test results.
  • Must have an understanding of specifications and plans required for given projects.
  • Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and plans required for given projects.
  • Review shop drawings and quality of construction work per the contract specifications and plans.
  • Evaluation and troubleshooting of existing construction.
  • Travel to work sites.
  • Prepare written reports in accordance with qualification tests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in construction, engineering and/or architecture in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Independent and critical thinking.
  • The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time.
  • Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
