- Associates degree in applicable technical field and 3+ years of experience, or high school diploma and 5+ years of experience.
- Ability to travel on short notice to support mission requirements.
- Strong background in troubleshooting systems and subsystems.
- Relevant and recent systems and maintenance experience at the intermediate-level.
- Proficient in bug tracking and test management toolsets to support development processes.
- Proficient in MS Office suite of applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Proactive ‘self-starter’ attitude.
- Ability to work in a demanding, real time environment.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible work schedules by providing 24/7 support to real time mission operations.
- Willingness to perform work in various environments.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret level security clearance
- Must be a US citizen.
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing products to include Line Replaceable Units (LRU), integrated systems and subsystems, and software at the client and/or field locations.
- Instruct customers in equipment operation.
- Provide technical assistance.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Demonstrate initiative in on-the-job training while working as part of a team and the desire to help train others as they progress in developing team and individual skills related to the supported systems.
- Track all system issues, corrective actions taken, preventative maintenance performed, upgrades performed, system locations, etc.
- Troubleshoot equipment for malfunctions to minimize system down time.
- Perform one or many of a wide range of installation tasks such as running cables, installing, and connecting LRUs, racks and electronic hardware systems, connecting and testing both new and retrofit subsystems, including electrical, mechanical, computers and visual.
- Install, upgrade, and removes LRUs ensuring all work is done in accordance with all applicable policies and procedures.
- Assemble, install, and configure systems and equipment in accordance with site assessments and schematics. Completes system programming and optimization as part of the installation process.
- Complete final fielding and integrated acceptance testing of electrical systems and associated equipment.
- Ensure the fielding and acceptance of equipment is conducted to client’s requirements and in accordance with applicable acceptance testing procedures.
- Perform routine system maintenance and analysis functions, including hardware configurations and adding, removing, and replacing equipment components.
- Provide on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Travel frequently to customer sites in performance of duties.
- Military background and/or experience in providing FSR support on military systems.
- Familiarity with MRAP family of vehicles.
- Familiarity with EOD operations.
