Oversees construction sites, general contractors and workers to ensure a high level of Safety and Quality

Guide and work collaboratively with the Engineering Department on the design implementation process.andnbsp; Including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation of large capital projects; including scheduling, coordination, and financial responsibilities
Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures, and all code regulations
Review subcontractor bids, manage and close projects
Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract document and good engineering practices
Develop and maintain project cost/change controls, and project budget and accounting records
Performs change order estimating and manages change order negotiations
Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules; oversee vendor work to ensure compliance with contract expectations and financial outcomes
Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals
Manage and review the progress of contractor's construction schedules
Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes
Reports the status of projects to business leaders
Identify and address plant improvement opportunities related to structural improvements, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
Support of regulatory compliance including required testing, data collection, and record retention; Preparation and submission of appropriate permits and regulatory reporting
Provide support and partnership with other Project Managers
Other duties as required by the Manager of Technical Services
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Experience with large manufacturing facilities construction sites preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must keep safety above all else with hazard recognition abilities
Knowledge of 3 phase high voltage power distribution, MCC, and electric drives/motors
Risk assessment/management
Conceptual planning ability; Ability to manage mid to large projects simultaneously
Problem solving skills
Expert knowledge of industrial controls, PLC, VFD, and other automation
Excellent strategic planning, organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project and other data analytic systems
Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all technology as required for assigned projects, including proficient use of CAD
Solid understanding of construction methods, understands timeframes for implementation and financial outcomes
Must have detailed experience in project budgeting, contract negotiations and scheduling
Must be able to read and write to complete required daily reports, training guides and inspection documents; understand equipment manuals and regulatory compliance; strong verbal communication skills
Must be self-driven with minimal supervision with the ability to work with all levels of workforce, management, and outside resources
Solid understanding of electrical diagrams
Problem solving skillset, and use of RCA methods
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals
Ability to successfully communicate with contractors and team members. Prepare various RFP's needed for vendor and contractor services for the complete project
Walking, climbing stairs and occasional ladders, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, repetitive motion, driving, and squatting to perform the essential functions of this position
Sitting for extended periods of time
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment as required
Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to safely fulfill all in-plant job requirements
Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions and in industrial environment around hot, noisy process equipment
Pass required background check, physical examination and drug screens
