Job Type: Part-time full year (25-28 hours per week, occasional evenings and Saturdays as needed)Pay Range: $19-$20Program Schedule: full year with alternative hours
- School Year Program: October – May (Hours: 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday - Friday)
- Summer Program: Late June - August (Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday - Friday)
- Oversee and manage student behavior during programs.
- Supervise students during transportation.
- Facilitate pre-developed lesson plans and manage a classroom of 15-20 students.
- Assist instructors with arts and enrichment sessions.
- Take attendance, track mentor-student pairs, and maintain program documentation.
- Communicate with program management, parents, and mentors regarding student progress and program updates.
- Assist in coordinating and implementing special events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of program spaces.
- Design and lead leadership workshops, training sessions, and hands-on experiences.
- Monitor and evaluate CIT progress, providing feedback and assessments.
- Support CITs in behavior management and camper engagement.
- Serve as a positive role model for CITs, demonstrating professionalism and responsibility.
- Collaborate with camp staff to integrate CITs into programs effectively.
- Input and manage student registration and documentation.
- Maintain records such as attendance logs, permission slips, evaluations/surveys and mentor-student demographics.
- Assist in planning and organizing family engagement events.
- Communicate with parents, school administrators, and community partners.
- Research best practices for youth mentoring and development.
- Assist with lesson planning for book clubs, enrichment activities, and wellness sessions.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience working with youth (ages 5 – 17) in a camp, school, or mentoring setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with groups and individual students.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a registered, insured vehicle.
- Flexible availability for special events and programs.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Ability to understand and communicate complex work-related tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 15 pounds.
