- Shift differential for 2nd Shift
- Perform calibration work with little to no supervision
- Conduct independent research when necessary
- Coordinate and manage daily workloads without direction from manager
- Identify and utilize appropriate measurement techniques
- Maintain calibration standards
- Understand and apply uncertainties to measurements made
- Be able to read and interpret labs’ scopes of accreditation
- Work effectively with lab support staff
- Working knowledge and competency in at least four (4) disciplines and expert in one (1) discipline preferred
- Perform calibrations within a laboratory or customer on-site setting
- Work at customer on-sites with little to no direction
- Fulfill duties safely under working conditions, in keeping with Company requirements and standards
- Other duties as may be assigned
- Travel requirements: up to 50% of work schedule
- Learn and develop fundamental skills necessary to calibration techniques and processes, which includes high level production with minimal errors
- Develop team lead skills and responsibilities
- Develop skills necessary to train and advise lower-level technicians
- Develop skills necessary to advance to Tech III position, which includes a working knowledge and competency in at least six (6) disciplines and expert in two (2) disciplines
- Strive to obtain the ASQ/CCT or CMT certification
- Deliver on Transcat’s Quality Policy (QAC-F01-001)
- Successful completion of assigned training materials through on-the-job training, online content, LMS, and classroom led instruction
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

- Self-motivated learner with the ability to learn new skills related to calibration and calibration processes
- Ability to take direction and learn from feedback
- Ability to communicate well with supervisor, solve problems effectively, and work both independently and as part of a team
- 3+ years driving experience with a valid driver’s license and acceptable driver history
- Three+ (3+) years of commercial calibration experience
- Previous experience or training in electronics or machining
- Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with basic hand tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Advanced organizational and time management skills
- Experience in PMEL, PME, TMDE, Metrology, Calibration, ASQ CCT, METCAL, GPETE, Electronics, GCAMS, or Avionics
- Experience working within ISO 17025 preferred. Understanding of uncertainty contributions to the measurement process
