- Primary responsibility is working independently with the installation and day-to-day support of IT Services for all locations within the Glacier Park Collection.
- Implement IT projects within collection and provide support to other Pursuit collections as needed.
- Advanced technical support for all IT related issues within the collection, and backup support for other collections as needed.
- Makes recommendations related to system upgrades, replacements and expansions to existing infrastructure to meet the needs of the business.
- Provide input to strategic roadmaps, IT Budgets, business strategies, hiring decisions and process designs as needed.
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of enterprise technology standards and guidelines within the Pursuit environment.
- Proactively helps with the planning for future growth of IT infrastructure within the collection.
- Will actively help identify single points of failure and work with other teams to mitigate the risks associated with them.
- Proactively act in a leadership role to guide and mentor Junior technicians and analysts to help them increase their skills and advance productivity within the team.
- Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems.
- Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
- Works with Field Technicians and the Service Desk and has accountability as Tier 2-3 staff to determine direction and resolve problems received from clients.
- With guidance, this position will effectively plan for collection technology projects as required, including task identification, timelines with major milestones, communications planning and potential fallback plans.
- Creates user documentation and trains/orients staff on use of hardware and software.
- Lead efforts in core infrastructure installation such as pulling cables, terminating network and phone connections, installing racks, racking servers and switches.
- Maintain information security by supporting tools on servers to monitor security events and manage desktop.
- Oversee documenting and maintaining the IT environments at each property.
- Collaborate with off-site shared services team.
- Frequent car travel to sites within the collection is required.
- Participate in a 24/7 On-Call rotation schedule.
- Other tasks as assigned by IT Manager
- Up to 15% travel is possible for this role.
- A degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- 3-5 years’ experience installing and supporting desktop computers and peripherals (MS Windows and MAC preferred)
- A solid foundation in operating systems, hardware components, system integrations and troubleshooting techniques is essential.
- A robust knowledge of networking fundamentals is helpful, including understanding protocols, diagnosing network issues, and managing network devices.
- Experience with Point-of-Sale systems and technology/applications specific to the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office 365 and Teams platform is required.
- 1-2 years’ experience with VMWare or vSphere is required. Experience in Azure Cloud computing is helpful.
- 1-2 years’ experience in Local Area Networks, WiFi, Point to Point networks required.
- Knowledge of Information Security frameworks (i.e. NIST, CIS) would be helpful.
- Ability to author non-trivial documents with both text and graphical elements and using these documents to keep diverse types of operational teams and staff informed.
- Self-starter and thought leader for the infrastructure department and is expected to bring ideas to the table for consideration.
- Professional, and able to communicate complex concepts patiently and effectively to audiences with varying skill levels, in person, on the phone, and via email.
- Strong commitment to building positive working relationships.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Sense of urgency to complete job duties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with a focus on strong interpersonal and guest service skills.
- Hospitality and service-focused mindset including the need to work successfully with both internal and external partners.
- Keen sense of prioritization and focus to complete tasks.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. with help.
- A valid driver's license and passport is required.
