Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.The Manager – Financial Transformation plays a key role in driving end-to-end finance optimization and advancing finance transformation initiatives. This role is responsible for assessing and redesigning finance processes to simplify, standardize, and automate leveraging tools such as ERP, EPM, Alteryx, and Power BI to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. The manager partners closely with Finance, Digital Technology, and cross-functional leaders to align transformation projects with organizational priorities, while overseeing deliverables, milestones, and KPIs. Acting as both a strategist and hands-on leader, this role ensures financial transformation efforts deliver measurable cost savings, operational excellence, and sustainable long-term impact.
  • Drive process optimization and automation
  • Assess current accounting processes to identify areas for process improvements through simplification, standardization, end-to-end optimization (by working cross-functionally), and automation Implement best practices and automation tools (e.g., EPM, Alteryx, RPA, etc.) to streamline accounting processes and enhance the accuracy and efficiency of reporting, reconciliation, and month-end close activities
  • Continuously identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvement, focusing on cost savings and operational efficiency
  • Support financial transformation initiatives
  • Collaborate with leadership to help define accounting transformation initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., DT, Finance, others) to ensure an integration of accounting initiatives with the broader organizational goals
  • Track efforts against transformation initiative milestones, maintain timelines and report on progress to senior management
  • Serve as a change agent and help foster an environment that embraces transformation, innovation, and continuous improvement

NOTE: This is a hybrid position with a combination of days worked onsite at our Chicago office location and remotely.QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 3+ years of finance experience
  • Strong understanding of finance processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • A highly motivated individual with a strong understanding of how people, processes, and technology work together to produce a strong and sustainable capability
  • Ability to work with both technical and business user teams to identify and solve issues
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

  • Master's degree
  • Master of Business Administration
  • Experience in airline or similar industry
  • Experience in Oracle ERP & EPM solutions
  • Understanding of data and experience with data analytic tools like Alteryx, Power BI, etc.
  • Experience in PMO tools (e.g. Smartsheets, JIRA)
