- Perform distribution engineering and define projects to ensure system capacity, power factor, and voltage is adequate.
- Assist in integrating Distributed Energy Resources (DER) into the Connexus Energy System to ensure reliability, power quality, and system safety are maintained.
- Author technical bulletins and standards documents related to proper engineering, design, construction, and/or maintenance practices.
- Produce distribution system designs for system improvement projects and road construction projects to ensure conformity to long range plans and integrated into the overall system plan.
- Provide conceptual layout for large commercial, industrial and residential developments to ensure the progression of such developments is constructed in an efficient manner.
- Perform accurate modeling of the Connexus Distribution System to enable other analyses to be performed. Update the model and build future projects, loads, and scenarios as necessary.
- Act as a technical resource of the electrical distribution system. Work jointly with Field Design staff to support design and ensure field design conforms to project requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a power systems emphasis
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certificate
- Two or more years related work experience
- Current and valid driver's license
- Electrical utility experience
