This role involves hands-on work in custodial services, grounds maintenance, and a range of campus operations. It is distinguished from other custodial positions by the level of physical effort, independence, and the broader scope of responsibilities required to support campus operations.While overall direction is provided by the Campus Operations Manager, the Facilities Coordinator is expected to adapt their daily schedule to accommodate immediate, non-standard (special events), and emergency requirements, ensuring appropriate service delivery. Also, will oversee inventory, cleaning materials, and necessary equipment for task execution.Position Details:Schedule: This is a part-time position scheduled for 25 hours per week, primarily Monday through Thursday evenings from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with occasional Saturday shifts from 7:30am to 12:00pm There is flexibility to adjust the schedule as needed to fulfill weekly hour requirements.Shift Differential Pay: This position will earn a $1.00 per hour shift differential for all hours worked between 6:00pm and 6:00am, as well as for any hours worked on Sundays.Madison College believes every team member brings unique perspectives and experiences that enhance our ability to understand and engage with the communities we serve, address challenges, and develop innovative solutions.   • Perform routine cleaning duties within the Madison College facilities and other leased or owned off campus facilities
  • Perform routine non-cleaning duties within the Madison College facilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, products and safety procedures related to custodial tasks.
  • Skill in performing maintenance tasks for non-mechanical systems and ability to work in dependently and efficiently while prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to effectively operate and learn to use hand tools, small power tools, and custodial equipment.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols, handle cleaning materials properly and maintain a sanitary environment.
  • Skill in engaging positively with all populations and communities, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning and work environment.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
